Best practice calls for foam to be applied to the previously installed vent cards, not directly onto the roof felt or tile.

Expansion
Once the spray foam insulation has been applied, a chemical reaction occurs. Isocyanate and polyol resin combine and expand up to 30-60 times their liquid volume! It only takes 24 hours for the spray foam to cure and become effective.
